Ticket Sales
Tickets for the 2012 Great Taste of the Midwest are sold out. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain while waiting in line! Mail orders are being processed and should be returned in the next six to eight weeks.
In person ticket sales for the August 11th, 2012, festival will be held at noon on Sunday, May 6th, 2012. Mail orders must be postmarked on Monday, May 7th, 2012.
There are two ways to obtain tickets for the Great Taste of the Midwest: mail order or advance in person sales. Tickets are not sold at the gate. There are no phone orders, no credit card orders, and no internet sales.
Ticket price for the August 11th, 2012, Great Taste of the Midwest is $50.
In Person Ticket Sales
In person ticket sales for the August 11th, 2012, festival will be held at noon on Sunday, May 6th, 2012. A total of 3000 tickets will be sold at the following locations:
- Star Liquor (600 Tickets)
- The Cork and Bottle (300 Tickets)
- The Wine and Hop Shop (400 Tickets)
- Steve's Liquor (400 Tickets at Steve's University, 500 Tickets at Steve's Mineral Point)
- Tyranena Brewing Company (400 Tickets)
- Capital Brewery (400 Tickets)
In person ticket sales sell out very quickly. If you aren't in line early, chances are good that you will not get a ticket. There is a limit of two tickets per person. Cash and check are the only forms of payment accepted. Designated driver tickets will be available for $5 each and do not count towards the 2 ticket limit. You must be 21 to purchase tickets.
NEW THIS YEAR
In addition to cash and check payments, we will now accept mobile payments via Dwolla. Sign up for a Dwolla account and use your iPhone, Android phone, or any mobile device with a web browser to pay for your tickets. Ticket buyers using Dwolla will receive a free 25th Anniversary Book and automatic entry into a drawing to receive early entry to this year’s Great Taste of the Midwest. More details

Mail Order Sales
Three thousand tickets are sold via mail order using a lottery. The mail order lottery is open to everyone. If you would like to participate in the lottery, please send a business-sized SASE and a check or money order for the correct amount (payable to MHTG) to:

Ticket orders must:
- Be postmarked on Monday, May 7th, 2012. Orders sent with postmarks before or after May 7th will be returned to you unfulfilled.
- Include a business-sized, self addressed stamped envelope (SASE).
- Include a check or money order for the correct amount, payable to MHTG.
- There is a limit of one mail order request and two tickets per household.
If your order is not selected in the lottery, your uncashed check or money order will be returned to you in the SASE that you sent with your order.
Any order that does not meet the requirements will be automatically removed from the lottery in favor of those orders that did. We will also return any mail orders that we feel are attempting to unfairly influence the outcome of the lottery.
Due to the enormous number of mail orders we receive, we are only able to fulfill about 25% of all mail orders, so not receiving a ticket is the norm, not the exception. Please allow 6-8 weeks for ticket processing, since we are a homebrewing club and not a professional order fulfillment company. We know you want your tickets, but please respect that we have our own family and work responsibilities too.
